Though we know that the amazing experience you get from a river trip is directly proportional to the amount of time spent on that river…if all you’ve got is a few hours to dip your toes in the water then a half-day excursion might be good for you. We offer 1/2 day trips suitable for kids as young as 4 years old and non-swimmers!
The 7-mile Boca Run half-day whitewater rafting trip departs twice a day at 9:15 AM and 1:30 PM. The trip is about 3 hours long. Meals are not included, but there is deli at our meeting location. These are the closest rafting trips to Lake Tahoe and Reno and perfect for families and groups!
This 1/2 day Class 2 run is suitable for all ages 4+! This is the perfect American River trip to introduce young ones to whitewater rafting. Located in the Auburn State Recreation Area the river flows thru the secluded river canyon allowing for wildlife viewing and playing in the water. Trips meet at 1:30 PM in Auburn and are finished around 6:00 PM.
Although these trips are listed as 1 day trips, they are about 4 hours long and shorter than our full day offering. Lunch is included which is why we consider them a day trip. For the morning trip lunch is after your rafting experience, and is before your trip if you are booked on an afternoon whitewater adventure.
The 9-mile Chili Bar half-day whitewater rafting trip meets at 8:30 AM and finishes around noon. Lunch is not included on these trips, but can be added for an additional cost. And whilst we truly believe that the more time you spend on a river the happier you’ll be…these two mini-runs are gems!
The 11-mile Gorge 1-day whitewater rafting trip meets at 11:00 AM at our camp for lunch. We launch our boats around noon and finish around 4:00 PM. Get all the fun the Gorge has to offer with Class 3+ action from Satan’s Cesspool, Hospital Bar and more!
