This whitewater adventure begins in Southern Oregon with 5+ miles of Class 3 rapids to warm up on before tackling the more challenging rapids! The 2 day trip allows us to slow our pace and take more time scouting the big and long Class 4 rapids. We typically camp at Stateline just after crossing back into Northern California. On the 2nd day, after a hearty breakfast at camp, we shuttle upstream several miles to re-run the most challenging Class 4’s. On the remaining stretch after the border, the canyon opens up and the river mellows allowing for voluntary swims. We typically take out at Fishing Access 6 above Copco Lake. The shuttles to/from Weed are a bit long, and we will provide refreshments after the rafting trip.
Pre-requisits for this Upper Klamath River raft trip:
- Previous Class 3 paddling experience
- Strong swimming skills
