Get ready for two great days on the American river! After your arrival we’ll head to the Middle Fork American River Canyon. En route your guides will present orientation and safety information. At the launch site you will receive your paddle, PFD, and a helmet. The Class IV excitement of Tunnel Chute awaits shortly after getting on the river. Several more follow including Kanaka Falls! We stop mid-day for a delicious lunch along the river and then run some more fun Class III and IV rapids like Chunder and Parallel Parking.

We return to our South Fork Riverside camp tired and happy with time to relax over dinner (including soda, beer, and wine) and campfire.

The next day, after breakfast, we head for the upper Chili Bar section of the South Fork American River. At the launch site we will again gear up and start with several miles of Class III rapids ending with Troublemaker. We float past the Marshall Gold Discovery Park and continue for a mellow 3 miles back to camp for lunch.

You’ll head home with fond farewells about 2:00 p.m., relaxed and full of memories from a great river trip experience!
