American River Rafting thru September

American River Rafting Trips Continue! 

South Fork and Middle Fork American River rafting trips are still going strong thanks to F.E.R.C licensing and dam control schedule agreements. California is in a drought and has been for the 2021 calendar year. Many spring runs were not available due to lack of snowpack. Dam controlled rivers like the American and the Truckee had strong seasons. 

Trips on the Truckee River in North Lake Tahoe ended at the beginning of August 2021 due to low water flows. Trips on the Lower Middle Fork American & South Fork Lotus Run (Class 2), South Fork American (Class 3) and Middle Fork American (Class 4) will be available thru the end of August at the regular summer schedules. 

Day trips are available most days of the week, and overnights are still available on Thursday/Friday and Saturday/Sunday until Labor Day weekend. Overnight Camping & Glamping available as an add on at our South Fork American River Campground in Lotus, CA for our half day and 1 day trips. 

Our Wine/Rafting trips will continue as well so join us for a weekend of wine tasting and white water rafting!

Class 2 Day Trips on the
Lower Middle Fork American &
South Fork American Lotus Run 

The best rafting trips for kids ages 4+! These trips are mellow and suitable for younger kids. They are a great introduction to river rafting and white water. 
 
Overnight Camping & Glamping available as an add on at our South Fork American River Campground in Lotus, CA. 

Class 3 Day Trips on the
South Fork American River 

Full day and half day trips are running everyday (except Tuesdays and Wednesdays) until Labor Day weekend. 

Class 4 Day trips on the 
Middle Fork American River

Challenging full day white water rafting on Class 4 rapids in the Auburn State Recreation Area. Trips offered on Wednesdays, Fridays, Saturday & Sundays. Great deals for Wednesday trips until September 1! 

Wine & Rafting 2 Day Trip

Offered on Weekends and available for groups on weekdays. Spend the first day tasting wines at the best wineries in El Dorado County. Day 2 is rafting on the Chili Bar Run on the South Fork American River.

2 Day South Fork & Middle Fork American River Rafting Trips

Most trips are available on Thursday/Fridays and Saturday/Sundays. Middle Fork wilderness are only available on certain weekends – check out our Specials page for discounts!

Tributary Whitewater Tours has been running rivers since we were first founded in 1978. Since we opened 40+ years ago we have expanded to include Adventure Connection, Mariah Wilderness Expeditions, High Desert River Outfitters, Canyon Outfitters and are the parent company of Raft California and Raft Oregon. While some things have changed over the years, Tributary remains a family-run small business with the same passion for the river and the mission of leading others to experience it.
