MIDDLE FORK 1-DAY | AMERICAN RIVER RAFTING

The Middle Fork is one of the deepest river canyons in California. Once scheduled to be under hundreds of feet of water as part of the Auburn Dam project, folks just like you discovered it’s treasures and forced the powers-that-be both here in California and back in D.C. to recognize it’s true worth as an important part of our environmental, social, economic and spiritual health. Check out this gem – it’s perhaps the most bang for your buck (in so many ways) that you can get anywhere in our fair state!

Itinerary

Get ready for a great day on the river! We board our river van promptly at 8:00 a.m. and head for the river about 45 minutes away. En route your guides will present orientation and safety information. At the river launching site you will receive your river gear including a paddle, a helmet, and a life jacket. We will launch our boats, practice paddling skills with our guides, and head for the excitement and fun of the Tunnel Chute and Kanaka Falls!

We stop mid-day for a delicious lunch along the river where we have time to enjoy the peacefulness of the canyon and its wildlife before paddling through more fun rapids like Chunder and Parallel Parking to finish the day’s run. Our shuttle vehicle will greet us at take-out with cold beverages for the ride back to your car.

You’re ready to head home by around 4:00-5:00 p.m., relaxed and full of memories from a great river trip experience!
