What to Expect on Your First River Rafting Adventure

White water river rafting is an exciting trip that nearly anyone can participate in. When you’re getting ready to go on your first river rafting trip in California, here are a few things that you can expect.

You’re going to have an exciting time on the river! The American River has over 50 rapids and features many famous Class III Rapids, and your heart will be pounding throughout the entire trip. Don’t worry though – your guide will get you safely through every rapid, and you’ll have a chance to catch your breath in between them.

Along the riverbanks, you’re going to see lots of wildlife, as well as hawks and eagles flying above you. The river winds through a beautiful and scenic wilderness. You’ll see rocky canyons and green hills along the way. When you’re not paddling furiously through a rapid, you’ll have the chance to enjoy the scenery around you.

You’ll be out in the sun all day, so you probably want to have sunscreen on. You’ll also be getting wet. A lot. No matter how hot the day is, the river will be cold. Make sure you are dressed appropriately so you can stay comfortable on the trip.

Ultimately, you will enjoy your adventure of white water rafting like nothing you’ve ever experienced before. Your trip with Adventure Connection will be the one that you’ll remember for a lifetime.
