Adventurous Spring Overnight! Strong swimming skills required.

A new offering since 2004. Here is the chance to get an intermediate and advanced river in this rocking combo! Available only in May, and possibly early June, depending on water levels.

This combo gives you the opportunity to get in a lot of river miles while experiencing great intermediate and advanced level rapids. Meet us at our  South Fork American campsite the morning of your trip where we will be camping that night. We raft both the North Fork and the Middle Fork of the American, enjoying the area’s most challenging rapids on this two-day extravaganza!

  • Combine two great California Rivers
  • The perfect trip for experienced paddlers
  • Two days rafting (covering 22 miles), one night camping, and 4 great meals
  • Camp both nights at our South Fork American riverside camp where we enjoy volleyball, horseshoes, camp store, campfire circle, hot showers and flush toilets
  • Great guides: skilled and ready to provide a safe and fun outdoor adventure
  • Two full days of fun, relaxation and excitement in two beautiful river canyons

Get ready for 2 great days on the river! After your arrival we’ll gather together, talk about our day and then head to the Middle Fork. En route your guides will present orientation and safety information. At the launch site you will receive your paddle, your life jacket, and a helmet. We warm up practicing paddling skills with our guides before heading for the rapids.

The excitement begins shortly after getting on the river with the adrenaline pumping Class IV Tunnel Chute! Several more miles of rapids follow which mellow out mid-day. We stop for a riverside lunch along the river and then the Class IV action returns with Chunder and Parallel Parking. We return to camp tired and happy with time to relax over dinner (including soda, beer, and wine) and campfire.

The next day, after breakfast, we shuttle to the North Fork ready for lots more fun and exciting rapids like Slaughter Sluice and Chamberlain Falls! We will enjoy lunch along the wilderness banks of the river and then run more rapids including the infamous Staircase!

We head home with fond farewells around 4:00 p.m., relaxed and filled with memories of a great river trip experience!
