Our two-day trips are on Saturdays and Sundays, meeting at 8:30 AM. After check-in we’ll take a short drive to the put-in where you will receive a safety orientation and paddling instruction by your guides. The stretch of river we do on the two-day trip is very exciting with many class IV and V rapids including “Suicide Falls” and “The Flood”. After a picnic lunch on the riverbank we’ll get back into our boats and tackle some of the biggest rapids on the river like “Upper and Lower Slickies” and “Holiday Hole”. Our take-out is at Lake Kaweah – just a short bus ride back to your vehicles. We’re usually off the water and back at our meeting site by 3 to 4 PM.

  • Wild Whitewater, a giant step-up for experienced paddlers in good condition
  • Steep, technical rapids, ready to thrill you with an outstanding adventure
  • A springtime whitewater challenge, and a great transition to summer rafting fun
  • 10 miles of almost continuous torrential whitewater with many Class IV & V rapids
  • One of America’s steepest rivers and some of the most exciting rapids in California
  • A hearty riverside lunch as you relax and enjoy the wilderness of the canyon
  • A very intense day of excitement and challenging thrills in a beautiful Sierra Nevada river canyon near Sequoia National Park
Get ready for a great day on the river! We board our river van and head for the river about 45 minutes away. En route your guides will present orientation and safety information. At the river launching site you will receive your river gear including a paddle, a helmet, a lifejacket and a wetsuit. We will launch our boats, practice paddling skills with our guides, and head for the excitement and fun of Slaughter Sluice, Chamberlain Falls and Staircase rapids! We stop mid-day for a hearty lunch along the river where we have time to enjoy the peace of the remote canyon. The trip continues at a more leisurely pace while still enjoying fun rapids and the awesome granite walls of the wilderness canyon. Our shuttle vehicle will greet us at take-out with beverages for the ride back to your car. You’ll head for home happy, relaxed and full of memories from a great river trip experience!
