The Upper Sacramento River trips are a spring and early summer rafting adventure above Shasta Lake, with continuous Class 3+ rapids from Sims Flat to Dog Creek.
We meet at Sims Flat Campground and put-in at the same location.
Rapids are frequent and fun, with the Class 3+ rapids of Shotgun, Rock Fence, Right Elbow and I-5 Hole being the most notable, all within the first 7 miles. There are numerous side creeks that flow into the river including some waterfalls. Lunch is served on river and many more exciting rapids are to be run like the White Horse rapid a few miles upstream from the take-out at Dog Creek. We will serve refreshments at take-out for your shuttle ride back to the meeting location.
