Lower Klamath River Rafting!
A true multi-day wilderness rafting trip!
Join Raft California on one of the best Klamath River Rafting Trips! Our 3 day Lower Klamath River rafting & camping trip makes for a fun, and memorable vacation!
Trips meet in Northern California near Oregon in the town of Happy Camp at the river access put in. Once you have unloaded your gear we will have you drive just a stones throw up the road to park your car at the Forest Service office, we will follow you and bring you back to the river. Back at the put in we will have you put all your gear into dry bags. There is a designated Gear Boat that we store most of the stuff we bring on the river (tents, sleeping bags, food, kitchen items etc).
Each night we will set up camp on a new riverside beach, where we will enjoy dinner that evening and breakfast the following morning. You will fall asleep and wake up to sounds of the river.
While rafting on the Lower Klamath River you will encounter several Class 2/2+ rapids. There are a couple Class 3/3+ rapids, Rattlesnake (aka Kanaka Falls) and Dragons Tooth! If you have younger kids it is typically suggested to walk them around these bigger rapids.
Great For Families!
Suitable for young kids ages 5+. A fun outdoor adventure vacation for all ages as well! Add an Inflatable Kayak rental to your trip for an added challenge (ideal for teens and adventurous adults). There is no WiFi here in the wilderness, so no need for cell phones or tablets for 3 whole days!!! Unplug and unwind while enjoying your time with the family.
Family & Corporate Groups welcome!
Although trip sizes are limited to a max. of 30 people, these trips are great for mixed groups with varying abilities. Non swimmers are welcome for this adventure.
Relax – we do most of the work!
All participants will be paddling during the trip, there is a lot of time to rest & unwind. We do all the cooking, as well as set up the kitchen at camp each night. Guests typically set up their own tents when we arrive at camp each night, but if you need assistance we are happy to help.
Bring your Fishing Pole
The Lower Klamath River is well knows for it’s amazing fishing! Cast your line from the sandy beaches we camp at for a chance to catch steelhead & salmon. Please be sure to bring your fishing license.
