Plan Your 2024 Vacation

The Rapids are What Make Your River Rafting Trip Exciting

What makes a white water rafting trip exciting is the rapids. Rapids are areas of a river where the water gets rough and foamy. This can be caused by obstructions in the river, rocks and boulders in the riverbed, a sharp drop, or a combination of the above.

River rapids are graded based on how difficult and dangerous they are. The rapids in the South Fork of the American River are graded from Class I to Class III. This means that they range from being slightly rough, but not requiring any skill to navigate, to having medium waves and requiring some skill, but not too dangerous. But don’t let that fool you. The Class III rapids on the American River are well known, and occur frequently, and you will have an exciting ride on your trip.

As you gain experience and want to try harder rivers, Adventure Connection offers trips on other rivers that have Class IV, Class V, and higher classes of rapids.

When you’re ready for the thrill of a lifetime, your trip with Adventure Connection begins by making your reservation for your white water rafting experience. Contact them — today.
