Intermediate Rafting on the Middle Fork of the American River

California is a great place for a vacation. No matter what your tastes, there is always something to do. And if you have a taste for adventure, you need to try white water rafting in California.

Central California is home to the Middle Fork of the American River, and is the idea place for intermediate rafters, as well as beginners with an adventurous streak. Located just an hour east of Sacramento, California, this area is known for its rapids that go up to Class V. Because of the added difficulty of this section of the river, everyone must be at least 14 years old to go on this trip.

Some of the rapids here are a result of mining work from the 1850s, in addition to the natural flow of the river. The Middle Fork is known for the famous Tunnel Chute, which is a white water chute that results in a water-churning roller coaster ride. You’ll have the chance to enjoy the rapids, do some hiking, and possibly even see modern day gold miners working on the banks of the river. You can choose between one or two day adventures on the Middle Fork.

The American River is filled with white water rafting opportunities. To book your own adventure, contact Adventure Connection today.
