Whitewater Rafting And Camping: DIY a Glamping Experience

Roughing it is awesome, but sometimes it’s nice to add some luxurious and comfortable extras to your camping adventure. Whether it’s for your next camping trip with friends or a romantic couple’s getaway, check out some insider advice on how to create the perfect glamping experience! We’ve got some great tips on how to make your home in the dirt feel like a home in the Hamptons. Just follow our lead…..

Leave The PBR At Home, And Enjoy A Nice Glass Of Wine Around The Campfire

Campfires don’t have to be all smoke and cheap beer; a quick way to glamp up your camping is to add a nice glass to wine into the mix. Pro tip: bring red wine so you don’t have to worry about keeping it ice cold. Unless you are on the Adventure Connection Red Wine White Water trip because then we give you both 🙂

Find A Campsite With Hot Showers

Camping can be dirty, but nothing fixes that like a hot shower. And I don’t mean some luke-warm excuse for a hot shower, I mean a glorious-for-real HOT shower! This is hard to find at most camp grounds, but we have got you covered! We offer hot showers in all our bathhouses at Adventure Connection because we understand how invigorating it can be!

Ditch The Freeze Dried Meals And Make Something Mouthwatering

Just because you are camping doesn’t mean you have to eat meals out of a bag or PB&J for dinner. Cooking outside can be the same as cooking indoors! Try things like veggie curry, tin foil wrapped grilling, and if you are feeling super adventurous: dutch oven dinners and desserts! On our 2-day trips we offer a dinner to die for: Grilled tri-tip and chicken, mashed potatoes, garlic bread, stir fry, pan fried tofu (for the vegetarians/vegans out there), salad and strawberry shortcake for dessert 🙂 Everything tastes better in the outdoors, and we like to make things fresh and interesting!

Make Your Campsite Feel Like Home

We know it can be hard living away from home for a few nights, but there are plenty of ways to make your campsite feel like home! Here are a few ideas: solar powered twinkle lights to spruce your place up, your favorite pillow, lounge chairs, or a tarp to stay out of the dirt. You get the picture 🙂

Want a trip that takes care of all of these luxurious camping extras so you don’t have to?  Our Red Wine White Water trip is the ultimate glamping experience! Book for your group today!
